MAN UNITED STAR’S TRANSFER TO ARGENTINE GIANT DRAWS CLOSER
Former Napoli and PSG forward, Edison Cavani’s stay at the Theater of Dreams is coming to an abrupt end, as a deal that will bring him to Boca Juniors this summer “is closer than ever” sources have confirmed.
The Uruguayan signed a two-year contract upon his arrival, but both parties ( Man United and Cavani) have the option of cutting the deal short.
The red devil’s and the 34 years old also have the option of extending his existing contract by an additional year, but if united fail to do so, they will pay the sum of 2 million euros to him as his release clause.
The former PSG striker has scored 7 goals in 27 appearances since moving to Old Trafford in October.
His father ( Luis Cavani) told Argentina’s Tyc sport last month that his son has 60 percent of joining a club from South America, and would be honored to play for Boca Juniors.
Sources have also confirmed that United is Keen to wait for the 34 years old to recover from the injury before making a final decision, whilst, the Uruguayan wants to continue his career in Europe upon the arrival of the next Summers world cup, another source confirmed.
The prolific hitman was upset when the English FA sanctioned him with a three-match suspension for using a racial language in his social media post which he considered in Spanish “negrito” to be a term used in an affectionate way in his Homeland.
